SUMMARY:Hike Leutschachhütte – Nidersee – Wichelpass
DESCRIPTION:We take the train to Erstfeld in the canton of Uri, continue by bus to Amsteg and from there take a small cable car to the vicinity of Lake Arni. From there we climb on foot past the Leutschachhütte and the impressively turquoise-coloured Nidersee to the Wichelpass. At the top, we enjoy the view in a barren, lonely area. We then take the long descent through the Schindlachtal valley and return to the Armisee, from where we take the cable car, bus and train back to Zurich.\nCosts\nfor non-earners: with GA travelcard CHF 10.00, with Half-Fare travelcard CHF 25.00, without Half-Fare travelcard CHF 40.00\nfor earners: with GA travelcard CHF 20.00 (for the cable car), with half-fare travelcard CHF 50.00, without half-fare travelcard CHF 80.00\nThe aki subsidises the travel costs (the standard ticket price with half-fare travelcard would be CHF 54.00). Anyone who would be happy to receive further financial support is welcome to ask.\nEach person buys the ticket themselves before travelling. We will then reimburse part of the cost so that only the above-mentioned costs are incurred for all participants.\nMeeting point\n6:25 hrs at the meeting point at Zurich main station, then take the train to Lucerne (departure 6:35 hrs). Buy ticket «Zurich – Amsteg Grund / Intschi – Zurich».\nTake with you\nHalf-fare travelcard or GA travelcard (if available), ticket for public transport (buy yourself), sturdy shoes, weatherproof clothing, picnic for lunch, drinks\nRequirements\nVery good physical condition (ascent and descent each approx. 1200 metres in altitude, duration of the hike approx. 7 hours)\nRegistration: by 8 a.m. on Thu, 5 Sept.
