Well-known Jesuit priest and New York Times bestselling author Fr. James Martin SJ is joining us live via Skype to take us on a journey through his book Jesus: A Pilgrimage, exploring with us who Jesus of Nazareth was and inviting us on a pilgrimage to experience Jesus today through Scripture, prayer and travel. Born in 1960, the Rev. James Martin S.J. frist earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and worked for six years in corporate finance before entering the Society of Jesus in 1988. He has since worked in a hospice for the sick and dying on Jamaica, with street-gang members in Chicago, and with refugees in Kenya. He currently serves as the editor at large at America Magazine.

Fr. James Martin has authored numerous books. „The Jesuit Guide to (Almost) Everything“ became a New York Times bestseller and was awarded a 2010 Christopher Award. His memoir „My Life with the Saints“ received a 2007 Christopher Award, sold over 120’000 copies, and was named one of the „Best Books“ of 2006 by Publishers Weekly.

His most recent books are „Building a Bridge“, „Seven Last Words“, „Jesus: A Pilgrimage“, and „In All Seasons, For All Reasons“.
